After the Indian summer, rain and wind returned to Kaliningrad

On Friday, October 9, cloudy weather is expected in the Kaliningrad region with rains and strong wind.

From 10:00 to 13:00, the strengthening of the south-west and western winds is predicted. Gusts can reach 25-27 meters per second (up to 97 km / h). In Kaliningrad and the region, the average wind speed will be 10-15 meters per second with gusts up to 18-21 meters per second, on the coast - up to 22-25 meters per second.

At this speed, the wind is able to break tree branches, damage roofs and tear down poorly fixed structures. Drivers are asked not to park under trees or billboards. During the period of the strongest impulses, it is recommended to limit exits to the street.

Also during the day, rains are expected, sometimes showers. The air temperature during the day will be +11. +14 °C, but it will feel cooler due to the wind.

Forecasters note that after the Indian summer, rain and wind returned to the region. The impact of Atlantic cyclones will continue until mid-October.
