The prosecutor’s office of Minsk checked one of the private construction companies and found that the workers were not paid on time for May 2026. The debt to 220 employees amounted to 720 thousand BYN, the correspondent of the agency “Minsk-Novosti” with reference to the Prosecutor General’s Office.

According to the rules that operate in the organization, the salary must be paid twice a month: the 15th day of the month following the worked out, for the first half of the month, the 30th day of the month following the worked out, the final calculation. If these days fall on weekends or holidays, payment is made the day before. However, these requirements were not met.

To protect the rights of employees, the prosecutor’s office issued an order to the head of the company demanding to immediately repay the debt. After reviewing the document, the debt to employees was repaid - the rights of employees were restored.

The Prosecutor’s office noted that the observance of labor rights of citizens, including timely and full payment of wages, is under constant control.
