Permanent heating can wait for Petersburgers only in the second half of October

The heating season in St. Petersburg can begin no earlier than the second half of October. To start boiler houses, the average daily temperature should not exceed eight degrees for five consecutive days. By the winter in the city prepared 24 thousand houses and all social facilities. Since March, experts have conducted hydraulic tests of heating systems, identified and repaired about 950 damages. Over the summer, more than 3,500 meters of pipelines were replaced.

Traditionally, heating is first included in kindergartens, schools and hospitals, then connected to residential buildings. The decision is made by local governments taking into account the weather.

With short-term cooling, periodic warming is possible. In some areas of the Leningrad region, it began in mid-September.
