Firefighters told how pets can cause a fire - and how to avoid it
Rescuers often have to take out of the fire not only people, but also their pets

Rescuers often have to take out of the fire not only people, but also their pets. At the same time, as the EMERCOM of Russia in the Pskov region reminds, sometimes the animals themselves cause a fire. Knowing which places in the house are dangerous for dogs and cats can prevent a fire and protect four-legged family members. This “MK in Pskov” reported in the press service of the EMERCOM of Russia in the Pskov region.
The agency advises owners to adhere to several rules. Wires, including extension cords, must be hidden in protective casings: pets often gnaw them, which can lead to a short circuit and fire. Open fire, gas stoves and electrical appliances should not be left unattended, and flammable liquids and objects should be stored next to the stove. On the buttons of the electric stove should install protective pads so that the animal does not accidentally turn it on.
Another tip: remember where your pet likes to spend time – in the event of a fire, this will help you find it faster.
