“Criminal activity must be stopped.” Shpakovsky - about why the decree on fees for treatment was needed

On September 7, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 304 “On Foundations and Charitable Activities in the Sphere of Healthcare”, which regulates legal relations in this area and updates general provisions on foundations. The document has already shown the first results, bringing order to the fees for treatment. On the air of the talk show “Budney” on the YouTube channel “SBTV” and “Alfa Radio”, the Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly Alexander Shpakovsky spoke about what caused the need for such a decree, writes sb.by. We have observed very unpleasant, disgusting facts when fraudulent activities were conducted under the guise of raising charitable funds for the treatment of children who are terminally or seriously ill. Proper citizens for good reasons donated money to save the child, and in fact the organizers of such collections spent these funds on their personal needs, entertainment, leisure, and a very base character, — said the guest of the studio.

- Naturally, because of this, there was a need for legal regulation of this sphere of activity in order to prevent such manifestations, because otherwise it is possible to lose the trust of citizens in relation to certain fees, and the people who really need it will not receive help. And in general, criminal activity should be stopped, not to create a basis for such abuses.
The talk show “Budney” is released on weekdays in the morning on “Alpha Radio”. Each issue discusses the most relevant topics from the life of the country and the world. Political scientists, scientists, public figures and journalists of leading media participate in the discussions.
