President congratulates motorized riflemen on their professional holiday

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated veterans-motor riflemen, servicemen of mechanized formations and military units of the Armed Forces of Belarus on the professional holiday - Motorized Rifle Day, a correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

- We bow before the incredible fortitude and courage of infantry soldiers during the Great Patriotic War, who brought peace to our people and the peoples of Europe. And today the victorious traditions of the oldest kind of troops, the legendary infantry, are sacredly preserved and multiplied by their daily military work in the mechanized units and units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, the message of greetings reads.

Ah. Alexander Lukashenko stressed that despite the change in the methods of warfare and the modernization of equipment, the human factor remains decisive:

- Modes and forms of warfare, equipment and weapons are changing, but nothing can replace the high combat training, valor and dedication of soldiers and commanders who, as the experience of modern wars shows, decide success on the battlefield. I am convinced that each of you understands this well and will continue to do everything possible to protect the peace and security of our country.

The head of state wished the motorized riflemen good health, peace, goodness and new successes in military work for the benefit of Belarus.
