President calls for intensified economic relations with Pakistan

Economic relations between Belarus and Pakistan will intensify in the near future. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said this at a meeting with Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan Said Yusuf Raza Gilani, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti news agency reports.

The head of state noted that good relations have developed at the level of the leadership of the two countries.

- It is encouraging that we will do a lot more. Although we're doing pretty well. But the level of political interaction that we have and parliamentary interaction clearly do not correspond to the economic level between Belarus and Pakistan, Alexander Lukashenko said.

The Belarusian leader recalled that during the meeting with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, an agreement was reached that in the near future, especially this and next years, economic relations will be significantly intensified.

- I would like us to do everything on time, the Head of State noted.
