President hears report of Special Envoy Victor Sheiman

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on September 21 received with a report the special envoy of the Head of State Viktor Sheiman, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti news agency reports with reference to the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The Head of State was informed about the implementation of a number of projects related to the real sector of the economy and the development of new high-tech areas. The President stressed their importance and relevance for the country.

Another key topic of the report is the development of cooperation between Belarus and the countries of the African continent. Alexander Lukashenko asked about the current dynamics of work in this direction and the issues that should be given priority attention.

The head of state confirmed the high interest in further consolidation of Belarus’ positions in the promising markets of African countries, where a number of reference points have already been found.

- We will be looking even closer to Africa in the near future. You know what Africa is to any country. Especially for ours, said Alexander Lukashenko.
