School camps for the autumn holidays for young northerners became 11 less

More than 50 school camps will work in the Murmansk region during the autumn holidays. Governor Andrey Chibis told about this at an operational meeting. This is less than in 2025.

The holiday will last until November 3. Almost four thousand children will rest in the camps. They are waiting for the history, culture and nature of the Kola Arctic, career guidance and trips to the enterprises of the region.

In the region there is a center "In the North - to live!". There will start two shifts: one for cadets and the second for high school students.

A year ago, 61 school camps in 13 municipalities worked in the Murmansk region on autumn holidays, according to the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of the region. The institutions were supposed to accept 4.5 thousand children. In the same autumn, the number of places for recreation in school camps decreased by about 500 compared to last autumn.

Earlier, MK in Murmansk reported that more than 200 young Murmansk residents took part in a patriotic rally near Olenegorsk.
