On October 22, the National Tourism Agency (NAT) will bring together industry professionals for an off-site event to discuss the role of religious sites as points of attraction for travelers, excursionists and pilgrims. It's reported by sb.by.

The field seminar “The Role of the Religious Heritage of Belarus in the Development of Tourism” will be held within the framework of the State Tourism Program for 2026-2030
- The purpose of the seminar is to familiarize the participants with the tourist potential of religious sites in the Slonimsky district - the Holy Dormition Zhirovichi Monastery, the Holy Amvrosievsky Women's Monastery and others. It is planned to visit these facilities, as well as analyze local thematic excursion programs, visit icon painting workshops and candlemaking workshops. It is planned to visit new objects on the territory of monasteries - the museum of the Zhirovich monastery and others, familiarity with the infrastructure.
In addition, it is planned to hold a dialogue platform “Religious objects as points of attraction for tourists and pilgrims,” the NAT added.
Religious tourism is one of the popular directions of development of the tourism industry of Belarus. About 85 percent of all tourist routes developed in the country include religious sites.
