Professor accused of causing property damage: urinated like a ghost
Professor Paul Fisher fired and charged with property damage after a series of urine incidents on campus

According to court documents, a series of bizarre urine-related incidents occurred on campus. Professor Paul Fisher, who taught there for more than 25 years, has been charged with first-degree property damage and could face up to five years in prison and a maximum fine of $10,000. The student left her bag unattended for about six minutes, and when she returned, she found "urine on her backpack.".
She then went to the police after discovering that her bag had been drenched in yellow liquid while working at a science centre. The girl told investigators she believed Fisher was responsible because she was near his office and he was the only person there at the time.
McAlester College's Department of Public Safety told police it conducted its own investigation and found the professor was involved with six reports of "urinating on campus." Urine was found in garbage cans, in water bottles of individuals and inside the documents of other professors. Fisher admitted to St. Paul police that over the past two years, he had “developed a habit of peeing in a cup”: after he was peeing, he poured liquid into garbage cans or sinks around campus. He told police he had accidentally stained the package, causing him about two thousand dollars in damage when he threw his urine into a bin near his office. Fisher is due to appear in court in early November.
“McAlester College is aware of the criminal charge brought against Paul Fisher. Fisher's work at McAlester ended in the 2025/26 academic year, the school said.
