Production of Sollers buses will be transferred to the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant in 2028
Ulyanovsk may become a new platform for the production of buses Sollers

Ulyanovsk may become a new platform for the production of Sollers buses. The production of cars, which are now being assembled in Vladivostok, is planned to be transferred to the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant in 2028.
The transfer of production is scheduled in about two years. At the same time, the company expects to increase the share of Russian components: it is stated that the bodies for buses after localization will be completely domestic production.
Now Sollers buses are produced in Vladivostok. Their production started in September 2024 at the former Mazda plant. The model range is based on buses of the Chinese brand Ankai. Earlier, the company announced the possibility of producing up to 1.5 thousand cars per year.
At the same time, sales are still significantly lower than potential production capacity. According to AUTOSTAT, for the whole of 2025, 35 Sollers SA9 buses were sold in Russia.
In parallel, the company is developing the direction of passenger commercial transport. At the exhibition Comtrans-2026 in Kazan presented pre-production Sollers SF7, designed for 21 passengers. Its full-cycle mass production is planned to be launched in Alabuga in the fourth quarter of 2026. Together with the minibus on the conveyor should stand all-metal van.
Thus, in the coming years, the geography of production of commercial vehicles Sollers may noticeably change: buses are expected to be transferred from Vladivostok to Ulyanovsk, while the production of the new model SF7 will be concentrated in Alabuga.
