Countering extremism and cyber threats to be discussed at Counter-Terrorism Forum on October 7-8
Scientific and practical conferences on countering terrorism and extremism, as well as the exercises “Eurasia-Anti-Terror-2026” will be held during the meeting.

Scientific and practical conferences on countering terrorism and extremism, as well as the exercise “Eurasia-Anti-Terror-2026” will be held during the Counter-Terrorism Forum in Belarus on October 7-8, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti news agency reports.

The forum will unite the XII International Scientific and Practical Conference of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure and the IV CIS Conference on Countering Terrorism and Extremism.
At the conferences, special attention will be paid to the protection of critical infrastructure, countering terrorist financing and cyber threats, including the use of modern technologies and artificial intelligence by criminals.
In addition, the program of the event also includes the anti-terrorist exercise Eurasia-Anti-Terror-2026. For the first time, a joint operational headquarters will work. The combined special forces unit from representatives of the six SCO and CIS member states will work out the suppression of a terrorist attack at a facility with a mass stay of people and countering an illegal armed formation in a village, on the water and in a wooded area. For the first time, such a format will unite the exercises of the competent authorities of the states consisting of two organizations.
Delegations of 127 competent authorities of the SCO member states, observers and dialogue partners, CIS member states, international organizations from more than 30 countries were invited to participate in the forum.
