Pskov heat networks explained how weather affects the temperature of batteries

Pskov Heat Networks answered frequent questions from residents about why batteries get colder when warming outside and why you can not sink the whole winter the same way. About this "MK in Pskov" reported in the press service of the enterprise.
The temperature of the coolant in heat networks is regulated according to the temperature schedule. It determines what water temperature should be in the supply and return pipelines at a specific temperature of the outside air. The colder it is outside, the more heat the house gets.
The schedule is approved by the city administration, and the heat network dispatcher sets the temperature for all heat sources. Deviation by the temperature of the network water is allowed not more than ± 3%.
The temperature chart regulates the parameters of water at the source terminals, not at the point of delivery to end consumers. For each heat source, the schedule is calculated so that the heat is even in the furthest from the boiler house.
According to the government decree No. 354 in cold regions, the temperature in residential premises should be not lower than 20 degrees, in angular areas - not lower than 22. Deviation in the large side is allowed by a maximum of 4 degrees, at night - a decrease of no more than 3 degrees.
Regulating the temperature more than four times a day is impractical: consumers will feel the result only after a few hours, and frequent regime changes harm pipelines. A constant maximum is also not suitable: it increases the wear of communications, in the thaw in the apartments would be too hot, and the heating fee would increase due to overspending gigacalories.
