Pskov court orders ambulance station to pay drivers overtime debts

Pskov regional court upheld the decision to recover from GBUZ "Pskov station of ambulance" debt to drivers for processing. The institution's appeal was rejected.

The court found that from December 2019 to June 2024, ambulance drivers were regularly involved in overtime work that was unpaid. The amount of unpaid amounts was confirmed by forensic accounting examination.

In his complaint, the employer tried to challenge the decision, referring to the absence of employees of the deadline for applying to the court, the targeted nature of budget financing and the fact that the processing was allegedly compensated by incentive payments. However, the court rejected these arguments. It was found that the deadline was not missed for good reason: the employer did not familiarize employees with the billing sheets and time sheets. In addition, the court stressed that premiums and overtime payments are of a different legal nature, and compensation for delay in payments under the law cannot be reduced.

Thus, the decision of the Pskov City Court on debt recovery, compensation for delay in payments and moral damage remained unchanged.
