Pskov “Union of pensioners of Russia” was 20 years old

Pskov hosted the forum “Active longevity – the road of life!”, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Pskov branch of the Union of Pensioners of Russia. The event was attended by representatives of the authorities, public organizations and volunteers, the correspondent of “MK in Pskov” reports.

At the forum, activists were awarded letters of thanks for their social activities and contribution to the development and implementation of social programs for older citizens.

The participants of the university of the third age, computer and financial literacy projects, Spartakiads, as well as volunteers who help participants in a special military operation were also noted.

First Deputy Governor of the Pskov region Vera Emelyanova congratulated the regional branch of the Union of pensioners of Russia on its 20th anniversary and noted its main projects.

“Dear Anniversaries, accept the most sincere greetings. First of all, I sincerely congratulate the regional branch of the All-Russian public organization on its twentieth anniversary.

Over the years, the organization has come a long way – from the first steps in protecting the rights of the older generation to the implementation of large-scale projects, today it unites more than 5 thousand caring people in our region.

You are successfully implementing projects of federal and regional importance, known throughout the country, such as a university of the third age, financial literacy.

Thanks to presidential grants and subsidies of the region, more than 32 million rubles were attracted for the implementation of initiatives. Of particular respect is your support of the Dobychinsk Rural School. Assistance to the participants of a special military operation - silver volunteers are actively involved in all branches.

I wish all participants of the forum productive work and successful implementation of all ideas.”.

Speaker of the Pskov Regional Assembly Boris Elkin also congratulated the representatives of the older generation. He noted the assistance of the Union of Pensioners to the SVO fighters and stressed that caring for older people is a common duty.
