“Bird courtyard” asks Pskov to help with the preparation of acorns for squirrels and porcupines
Employees of the farmstead “Birdyard” appealed to residents of the region with a request for assistance in collecting acorns

Employees of the farmstead “Birdyard” appealed to residents of the region with a request for help in collecting acorns. In autumn, animals switch to a special diet to make reserves for the winter, and acorns are an important source of nutrition for them.
“Our menu now includes nuts, carrots, apples, mushrooms and rose hips. But there was a problem: the only oak tree growing next to us was sawed off by road services as an emergency. It is extremely difficult for us to independently go for acorns in the city, the shelter representatives explained.
Acorns are necessary not only for squirrels, but also for porcupines living on the territory of the farmstead. The organizers call on everyone who has oak trees growing in dachas, yards or in nearby parks to collect fallen fruits and bring them to animals.
Special thanks were expressed to the school classrooms and teachers helping the farmstead. Other school groups can join: collecting acorns will be an excellent environmental project and a real help to pets. Any amount of harvest will be valuable.
Also "Birdyard" invites everyone to visit the farmstead this weekend. Guests will be able to walk, look at the animals and personally pass the collected acorns.
Opening hours: daily from 10:00 to 19:00.
