The award is awarded for contribution to strengthening the institution of the family and raising children. The medal of the Order of Parental Glory is awarded to parents who have four or more children. The awardees also receive a cash payment of 200 thousand rubles.
Earlier, Vladimir Putin awarded the title “Mother Heroine” to a resident of the Voronezh region Julia Kovtun. In 2023, she had her 14th child, a girl.
