Drunk monkey smashed apartments and attacked people

In the Brazilian city of Salvador (Bahia), a wild capuchin monkey entered several houses of a residential complex, drank 70 percent alcohol found there and ate a package of tablets.

According to the publication UOL, after the use of substances, the animal came to an excited state and attacked people. The incident injured three local residents and a security guard of the complex.

Experts believe that alcohol and drugs provoked the aggression of the primate.

To capture the beast, law enforcement officers had to use a net and leather gloves.

After the arrest, the capuchin was taken to the Wild Animal Sorting Center. Veterinarians noted that the animal is severely weakened and needs medical care.

Neighbors said the monkey had an owner and a certificate of maintenance, but the owner was not home at the time of the incident.
