Registration of weapons in Russia want to significantly accelerate

Rosgvardiya proposed to reduce the term of providing state services for the registration of weapons to 10 working days. The draft of the corresponding order is posted on the official portal of regulatory legal acts.

Now the result of the service must be provided within 14 calendar days. The explanatory note notes that the proposed changes are necessary to unify the terms of registration of license and permits.

The authors of the bill point out that the gun law provides for a two-week period. With a standard five-day working week, it actually corresponds to 10 working days.

The document also proposes to adjust the procedure for renewal of permits. Instead of extending the validity of an already issued document, the owner will be issued a new permit.

In addition, the draft provides for a period of up to five working days to correct errors and typos in documents. In Regardie noted that this norm meets the requirements of the legislation on the provision of public services.
