Record number of appeals: 249 residents of the Ulyanovsk region suffered from ticks in a week

According to operational monitoring, for the period from 24 to 30 September 2026, 249 people applied to medical and preventive institutions of the region with tick suction, including 31 children.

The largest number of appeals was recorded in Ulyanovsk - 162 cases (of which 18 were among children). A significant indicator was also noted in the Ulyanovsk district: 27 applications, including 4 children.

Other areas of the region show lower values. So, in the Inzensky district, 9 applications were registered (4 of them are children), in Sengileevsky - 5 cases (1 child), in Mainsky - 8 applications (2 children). In a number of districts, the number of appeals did not exceed 1-4 cases, and in some municipalities, no appeals were recorded during the reporting week.

The evidence suggests the need to remain vigilant against tick-borne infections despite seasonal declines in activity. Experts remind about the importance of preventive measures and timely treatment for tick bites.
