Renovation of the premises of the city archive of Sochi is planned to be completed by December 1

The overhaul of the new premises of the Sochi City Archive on Timiryazev Street is planned to be completed by December 1. This was announced by the head of the city Andrey Prosubnin during a working visit to one of the buildings of the municipal institution.

During the trip, he got acquainted with the conditions of storage of documents, work on the digitization of funds and the progress of repairs.

According to the head of Sochi, the archive has more than 302 thousand units of storage. Translation of documents into digital format should simplify the search for necessary information and ensure the safety of historical materials.

The City Archive stores documents of importance for studying the history of Sochi and its inhabitants. Renovation of premises and digitalization of funds are designed to improve the working conditions with archival materials and their availability for further use.
