Comedy Club resident Yevgeny Sinyakov again visited Petrozavodsk, where this time he combined his vacation with the study of the family archive. The reason for the trip was the centenary of the birth of his distant relative - sculptor and artist Leo Fomich Lankinen.
In the Museum of Fine Arts of Karelia, the comedian visited an exhibition dedicated to the anniversary of the master. The exhibition is small and is located in three halls among the permanent collection. Special attention of the stand-up was attracted by the bust of Simo Lankinen, the brother of his great-grandfather. According to Yevgeny, Simo participated in the Kronstadt uprising, after which he was forced to flee on the ice of the Gulf of Finland to Finland, where he lived for the rest of his life. Later, during the thaw, he came to visit Petrozavodsk, after which Leo Lankinen created this bust. On the museum plaque, the entire dramatic story is labeled simply as “The Finnish Worker.”.
At the museum Sinyakov was accompanied by his aunt, who gave him a painting by Leo Lankinen.
The comedian also attended the premiere screening of the play “Freaks” in the theater of the drama “Creative Workshop”, as reported by the actress of the National Theatre Olesya Leontieva.
Yevgeny has already visited the Karelian capital in the summer. Then he also visited the IZO Museum, telling about the works of Alexei Pakhomov and Naum Mogilevsky. In his new post, Sinyakov ironically commented on the attention of the press to his person.
