The Office of Rospotrebnadzor in the Tula region spoke about the situation with influenza and SARS in the region.
According to the agency, the epidemic situation now corresponds to the seasonal level, and there is no excess of thresholds either among the entire population of the region or in certain groups.
Over the past week, 4575 cases of SARS were registered in the region.
Laboratory monitoring shows that seasonal respiratory viruses are circulating in the area.
Earlier, MK in Tula reported how vaccination affects the course of influenza. According to the chief freelance specialist on infectious diseases in children of the Ministry of health of the Crimea Svetlana Usova, vaccinated disease is often easier, and recovery takes less time: the temperature can normalize in two to three days.
In the unvaccinated, influenza can be accompanied by a longer period of high fever and lead to complications, including pneumonia, encephalitis, and meningitis.
