Rospotrebnadzor published data on the incidence of SARS in the Pskov region for the week

The Office of Rospotrebnadzor in the Pskov region summed up the results of the weekly monitoring of the epidemiological situation on acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) in the period from 19 to 25 October 2026.

During the reporting period, 3,254 cases of SARS were registered in the region. The proportion of children under the age of 14 among the cases was 64.8%. In the city of Pskov recorded 1,358 cases, which is 41.7% of the total number of cases in the region. During the week, 32 people were hospitalized with symptoms of SARS.

The structure of circulating pathogens is dominated by respiratory viruses of neutrino influenza etiology. Cases of influenza have not yet been reported. In connection with the increase in morbidity in the region, restrictive measures have been introduced: one class in secondary school and two groups in two kindergartens have been suspended.

The Ministry recalls the need to comply with preventive measures: regular hand hygiene, the use of masks in public places, observance of social distance and respiratory etiquette. When symptoms of malaise appear, it is recommended to seek medical help, avoiding self-medication. Experts also emphasize the importance of annual influenza vaccination as the main method of preventing severe complications. The epidemiological situation is under constant control of the regional management of Rospotrebnadzor.
