Russia in second place in the world in the number of cryopatients
109 Russians are waiting for the resurrection in liquid nitrogen. Is it possible to revive a person in a hundred years?

Until science learned how to conquer death, 740 people on the planet chose a temporary “hibernation” in cryocapsules at -196 ° C. The world leader is the United States (566 bodies), and the second place is occupied by Russia with 109 cryopatients.
What's the point of the method? The body or brain of a deceased person is saturated with special solutions and frozen. As biophysicist Igor Artyukhov of KrioRus explains, reviving a biological body is not the main problem. The most difficult barrier is the restoration of personality and memory. Scientists have already successfully frozen and defrosted the mouse brain, preserving the activity of the cells. Theoretically, in the future, a person can be “uploaded” into a digital twin or combined with neural networks on the principle of Elon Musk’s Neuralink.
Why is Russia in the lead? The roots of this phenomenon lie in our culture. Back in the 19th century, the philosopher Nikolai Fedorov put forward ideas for the resurrection of all people who have ever lived. And the first cryopatient almost became Vladimir Lenin: his body was planned to be frozen in liquid nitrogen, but did not have time with the equipment, and the leader had to be embalmed.
Who agrees to freeze? These are mainly people with technical or medical education, IT specialists and scientists. In Russia, it is a popular practice for children to pay for cryonics of their parents to give them a chance for a second life.
How much is a ticket to the future?
Freezing only the brain - from 1.8 million rubles.
• Full cryonization of the body - from 3.8 million rubles.
According to experts, if science ever proves the impossibility of resurrection, the bodies will simply be buried. But while there is at least one percent hope, cryocapsules will continue their quiet work in anticipation of the technologies of tomorrow.
