Russia is interested in the supply of Belarusian equipment for hydrometeorology, as well as in establishing its joint production.

Russia is interested in the supply of Belarusian equipment for hydrometeorology, as well as in the establishment of its joint production - this was stated by the head of the Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring of the Russian Federation (Roshydromet) Igor Shumakov to journalists before the 82nd meeting of the joint board of the Union State Committee for Hydrometeorology and Monitoring of Environmental Pollution in Minsk on October 8, reports sb.by.

- We have a very busy agenda. We brought with us highly qualified specialists. The Belarusian side has prepared a lot of materials, and the specialists who will participate in the meeting of the board have great merits to the hydrometeorological service of the Republic of Belarus. There will be very interesting discussions, which will be divided into several topics. These are topics related to informatization, the development of electronic information exchange systems, including the updated system of global information exchange of the World Meteorological Organization. Our Belarusian colleagues are in no way inferior to us or our foreign partners.

Active development of information technologies in Belarus has a positive impact on work in the field of hydrometeorology and monitoring of environmental pollution within the Union State, Igor Shumakov noted.
- Without the help of our Belarusian colleagues in information technology, it would be more difficult for us to work, he said.

- There are a number of companies that have already entered the Russian market, including weather equipment and specialized equipment. These companies have already started deliveries. There is something to talk about with manufacturers, there is something to improve in order to make them more comfortable working in the Russian market.
Belarus and Russia will continue to fully automate the processing of all weather data
