A Russian family has complained of severe poisoning while on holiday at a four-star hotel in Egypt's Hurghada. One of the tourists had to be hospitalized, according to the Telegram channel SHOT.
According to the couple, the symptoms appeared on the second day of vacation. Both had severe vomiting and abdominal pain. The family claims that they ate exclusively on the hotel grounds, and shortly before their health deteriorated, they ate pizza.
The man was taken to the hospital of Hurghada, the rest of the family was helped by a doctor at the hotel. Later, other Russian tourists vacationing in the same complex complained of similar symptoms. The causes of the illness have not yet been established.
According to SHOT, a ticket to this hotel for a family of three costs 250-270 thousand rubles.
Earlier, Russian tourists reported similar problems after a holiday in a Turkish hotel. Since August, insurance companies have received 23 appeals from Russians complaining of vomiting, diarrhea and abdominal pain. Then the possible reasons were called the quality of food and unsanitary conditions.
