In Yekaterinburg, an elderly woman obtained through the court a refund of money and additional payments for unprovided plumbing services. To protect the rights of the pensioner helped the specialists of Rospotrebnadzor, reported the press service of the Ministry.

An unknown man offered the citizen to diagnose plumbing and install water leak sensors. The woman concluded a contract and paid 68 thousand rubles. However, the master did not fulfill the promised check, and left the equipment without installation.

It turned out that the contract lacked reliable information about the list of works and their cost. Attempts to settle the dispute directly failed. The perpetrator ignored the claim. After applying to Rospotrebnadzor, the pensioner filed a lawsuit, which the court satisfied. The subsequent appeal of the decision was also unsuccessful.

As a result, 211.5 thousand rubles were recovered from the self-employed. This amount included 68 thousand rubles of refund of payment, the same penalty, 5 thousand rubles of compensation for moral damage and 70.5 thousand rubles of a fine for refusing to voluntarily fulfill the requirements of the consumer.
