In Russia, a social trend is gaining momentum: women are increasingly complaining about the complete inability of their partners to cope with basic household chores. As the publication “Base” found out, it is no longer about repair, but about basic skills – washing, cooking and washing dishes.
In social networks, girls massively share photos and stories about the “domestic disability” of mature men.
30-year-old Oksana said that went on a business trip for two months. During this time, her partner never washed his clothes because he could not figure out how to turn on the washing machine. He ended up buying new things when the old ones got dirty.
According to 28-year-old Anna, she cooked dinner and went for the children. Upon returning, it turned out that the man did not eat anything because his favorite plate was dirty, and he did not guess to wash it.
Due to such situations, a new service sector began to form in Russia. Girls turn to specialists who, for a fee, teach adult men primitive economic tasks.
The program "nanny for men" includes instructions for the operation of the washing machine (choosing the temperature regime for different fabrics), the rules for using the stove and the basics of hygiene in the kitchen.
The psychologist in a conversation with the publication noted that the problem lies deeper than just the inability to hold a broom. According to him, one adult gradually shifts responsibility for his own life to another. This creates a vicious circle: a man waits for instructions or a task already completed, and a woman waits for decision-making and initiative from a man.
