Russian doctors rescued a pensioner who swallowed a denture

Surgeons of Vladivostok Clinical Hospital No. 1 rescued an 80-year-old man who swallowed a removable denture. This is reported by the Ministry of Health of the Primorsky Territory.

According to the department, the pensioner entered the reception department with severe pain in the upper abdomen. It turned out that a week ago he accidentally swallowed a prosthesis and endured all this time.

Diagnosis showed that the large prosthesis could not come out naturally. Its sharp edges damaged the mucous membrane and created a threat of perforation of the esophagus.

Endoscopists removed the prosthesis with a special tool without damaging the mucosa. Now the man is feeling well, he has already been discharged.
