Rostov criticized the new clip of Basta for the City Day

Rapper Basta released a new reading of the song “Rostov” on the eve of the 277th anniversary of the Don capital. The composition was first released in 2010 and during this time became well known to fans of the artist.

The basis of the video series were scenes with the streets of Rostov-on-Don, citizens, dancers and Cossacks. The footage is made in the style of memories and fragments from the past.

The premiere caused different emotions in the audience. Some listeners noted the nostalgic sound of the familiar track and a new performance. Others drew attention to details that, in their opinion, do not correspond to the Don capital.

In particular, the audience was surprised by the Cossacks in costumes more reminiscent of the Kuban traditional form. Rostov residents considered that in the clip about the Don capital it was more logical to show representatives of the Don Cossacks.

It's a shame. Our favorite song, our city is the best, and our Cossacks were offended. Kubantsov for some reason put, – said in one of the comments.

The discussion was also caused by the choice of a singer for the duo. Elena is a native of Moscow, so part of the audience offered to involve the recording artist associated with Rostov.

Basta himself at the same time appears only in one staged location, although in the video there is a large number of shots of the city.

The clip appeared on the eve of the celebration of City Day. Rostov-on-Don will turn 277 this weekend.
