Roszdravnadzor in the Kaliningrad region announced a warning to the Regional Clinical Hospital after examining documents on the provision of medical care to a patient who subsequently died. The Agency has identified signs of possible violations in the examination and execution of medical documents.
According to the warning, the patient was admitted to the hospital with severe damage to the arteries of the right leg. The documents indicated vascular thrombosis and ischemic gangrene - tissue death due to insufficient blood supply.
When examining the medical record, experts did not find information about some studies. In particular, the documents did not contain information about the sodium blood test and ultrasound examination of the arteries of the legs.
Roszdravnadzor also pointed to shortcomings in the processing of documents before and during operations. Some protocols lacked the signatures of medical professionals and information about the patient’s blood type and Rh factor. In addition, various documents differed about how the woman was taken to the hospital and agreed on her transfer.
Questions also arose about the internal quality of treatment. According to the protocol of the analysis of the fatal case of April 29, the hospital recognized the amount of care provided as sufficient, and the registration of a medical card as appropriate. However, Roszdravnadzor specialists in a preliminary assessment found signs of violations, including the lack of information about some necessary studies.
The warning was announced on October 9, 2026.
