The leadership of the Magadan region proposed Belarus to create a supermarket of Belarusian goods in the region

The government of the Magadan region is ready to support enterprises or businessmen who would create a supermarket of Belarusian goods in the Russian region. This was stated by the Governor of the Magadan region Sergey Nosov following the results of the meeting of the working group on cooperation with the Republic of Belarus held on October 7 in the regional center, sb.by reports.

Over the two years of the agreement between the Republic of Belarus and the Magadan region on cooperation, a lot has been done, the head of the Russian region stated. An important step, he called the opening of a multi-brand center of Belarusian equipment, held in Magadan on October 6. Sergey Nosov considers the presence of Belarusian food products in the Russian field to be the second important topic of cooperation. The regional center has one store selling Belarusian food, but this is clearly not enough, the governor said.

- One store is still working, very high-quality Belarusian products, especially at very competitive prices. We would also like to develop this area, but we will look at the problems that Belarusian businesses have. I think it is necessary to provide them with investment support, the governor of the Magadan region said.

Answering the question of Magadan journalists whether the Russian region wants to create a supermarket of Belarusian goods (from appliances to products and cosmetics), Sergei Nosov did not rule out the possibility of implementing such a project.

- We invited our partners to consider this option. A Belarusian industrial goods store will be opened. But I am ready to agree with you, this is the Supermarket of Belarusian goods. - Editor's note. And here it is very important to find suitable premises or such areas together with entrepreneurs. I said earlier that it seems that such projects require investment support. We understand that if we support this direction, it will return to our citizens in the form of high-quality food, the Governor of the Magadan region said.

He also noted cooperation in the jewelry industry and patriotic tourism as promising areas of cooperation.
