In Novomoskovsk continued to green the square named after the 239th infantry division. During Saturday, more than 30 varietal plants were planted here - aronia, aronia and spruce, the press service of the Public Chamber of the Tula region told MK in Tula.
The event was attended by public activists, representatives of territorial self-government, employees of the city administration and volunteers. The landscaping was also joined by the Chairman of the Commission on Ecology and Agriculture of the Public Chamber of the Tula region Vadim Baranov, Minister of Internal Policy and Development of Local Self-Government of the region Dmitry Yartsev and First Deputy Head of the Administration of Novomoskovsk Vladimir Tokarev. The Minister came to the city on a working visit.
Here it is worth remembering that the square is dedicated to the feat of the 239th Infantry Division, which defended Novomoskovsk during the Tula defensive operation during the Great Patriotic War. Thanks to the program “Formation of a comfortable urban environment”, new pedestrian paths, a playground, lighting and video surveillance have already appeared here. In the garden also installed benches and equipped flower beds. The area continues to be greened.
Dmitry Yartsev expressed hope that the young trees will take root and will please the visitors of the square for many years to come.
Earlier, “MK in Tula” told about the environmental campaign “Eco-Challenges”, in which Tula entrepreneurs planted 20 young oaks in the Central Park of Culture and Recreation named after P.P. Belousov. New trees replenished the green spaces of one of the main recreation areas of the regional center.
