The rusty slides are being demolished. Who'll put the new ones in?
The main question of any courtyard with a rickety slide is whose territory it is and who is responsible for it

The main question of any courtyard with a rickety slide is whose territory it is and who is responsible for it. According to the Housing Code, children's and sports facilities in the adjacent territory are included in the common property of homeowners: they must be maintained by the tenants themselves, and the equipment should be serviced by the management company or HOA.
It follows that the fate of the site, whether it is repair, replacement or demolition, is decided by the general meeting of owners, and old structures often require such investments that it is easier to put new ones.
It is impossible to allocate budget funds to private territory, which includes yards of apartment buildings, but this is not a verdict: the federal program “Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment” is working.
A good example is the courtyard at the intersection of Lenin Avenue and Gorky Street, where a tennis court was equipped, basketball equipment, benches and a fence were installed. The project was implemented thanks to the activity of residents, now the site belongs to the owners of the house No. 23 on Gorky Street, and is served by its management company.
Modern gaming and sports spaces are already in the Old Airport microdistrict, in new buildings on Liteinaya Street and in the old quarters of Bezhitsa - on the Post, Metalists and Young Guard.
AiF-Bryansk has compiled a short instruction: just three steps to the new site:
1. First, you need to hold a general meeting of homeowners, where residents agree on the installation of equipment.
2. Then – to determine the funding, which can be not only the federal program, but also the help of the Deputy of the district.
3. Then - to solve the issue with the subsequent maintenance of the site by the management company.
District administrations will talk in more detail about the mechanism and preparation of an application for participation in the improvement project.
