Russian Railways allocated funds for the continuation of the repair of the station in Vladimir
Repair of the railway station in Vladimir plan to resume in 2027
The repair of the railway station in Vladimir is planned to resume in 2027. According to Governor Alexander Avdeev, Russian Railways found funding to continue work on the third platform. The remaining part will be dismantled, after which the construction of a new one will begin.
The reconstruction of the platform started in February 2025. The project envisaged not only the renovation of the design itself, but also the installation of canopies, modern lighting, anti-slip coating, elevators, escalators and stairs. However, the platform managed to disassemble only partially, after which the work stopped. Passengers now use a narrow, low wooden deck, designated as Platform 2a.
In June 2026, the Minister of Transport Vladimir Pertsev reported that Russian Railways does not have funds for the overhaul of the station. Now, as the governor said, the necessary funding has been brought to the railway workers. In this regard, there was hope that the object will be able to put in order for the 60th anniversary of the tourist route "Golden Ring of Russia".
According to Avdeev, in the near future railway workers must complete the dismantling of the remaining part of the third platform. Construction of the new structure is scheduled for 2027. The project also includes an escalator, elevator, stairs and anti-slip coating, which will ensure more convenient and safe movement of passengers.
The governor recalled that the repair of the station was planned to be completed by the millennium of Suzdal, but the timing has shifted. Now the region is counting on the renovation of the facility for the next major tourist anniversary. Avdeev noted that the authorities have repeatedly raised the issue with the leadership of the railway, including at the government level, and intend to monitor the progress of work.
