From March 1, 2027 in the Ulyanovsk region can ban the sale of vapes

From March 1, 2027, the Ulyanovsk region plans to completely ban the sale of vapes and liquids for them. The first regional bill required for the restriction has already been approved.

The adopted document forms the legal basis for a future ban and allows you to go through the procedures provided for by federal law, including those related to the notification of Rosalkogoltabakkontrol.

If all the necessary stages are completed, from March 1, 2027, the sale of electronic cigarettes and liquids for them should cease in the region. One of the main reasons for the restriction is the distribution of nicotine-containing products among young people.

The Ulyanovsk region was one of the first regions to prepare a regulatory framework for such restrictions. Similar work is underway in the Perm Territory, Nizhny Novgorod, Penza and Saratov regions, as well as in North Ossetia.

At the same time, federal rules for the circulation of tobacco and nicotine-containing products are changing. Thus, the regional ban will be part of a broader tightening of requirements for this market.
