According to the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), the changes clarify the requirements for the composition of products. In particular, the lists of substances prohibited for use, permitted with restrictions, as well as dyes, preservatives and UV filters will be updated.

Separately, a deferred norm for formaldehyde is provided. Currently, the label “contains formaldehyde” is necessary if its theoretical concentration exceeds 0.05 %. From January 1, 2027, this threshold will be reduced to 0.001 percent.
