Since the beginning of 2026, about 33 thousand electric vehicles have been registered in the capital – traffic police

About 33 thousand electric vehicles were registered by the State Traffic Inspectorate of Minsk for 8 months of this year. This was told to journalists on September 18 by Deputy Head of the State Administration of Internal Affairs of the Mingorispolkom Denis Livanovich, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

- If we talk about the growth dynamics in 2026, then for 8 months about 8 thousand units of vehicles were added, Livanovich said.

In addition, since September 2025, 311 personal mobility vehicles have been registered as electromopeds in the Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate. They were issued according to the criteria and standards developed jointly with the State Standard after tests and laboratory tests.

The speaker also said that in 2026 more than 200 places for electric charging complexes were agreed in Minsk:

- Criteria are being developed and places where they are more popular are in demand by citizens together with operators who are involved in this activity, Livanovich added.
