Since the beginning of the year, more than 4 thousand residents of Chuvashia have listened to lectures of the Knowledge Society

Since the beginning of the year, more than 4,000 people have participated in educational events of the Russian Society “Knowledge”, dedicated to the cultural diversity and unity of the peoples of Russia. The series of lectures is held within the framework of the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia and corresponds to the goals of the national project “Youth and Children”.

The meetings were held in 16 municipal districts of the republic, as well as in Cheboksary and Novocheboksarsk. Their sites were schools, kindergartens and other educational organizations. Students, students, working youth, parents, veterans of special military operation and their families, representatives of the older generation, civil servants and migrants.

Participants discussed the history of the country, cultural traditions, languages and customs of the peoples of Russia. The lecturers explained how national games, dialects and family traditions help to preserve the heritage of ancestors and strengthen the bond between generations.

“The theme of the unity of the peoples of Russia is in particular demand today. We consciously use a variety of formats – from academic lectures to interactive talks and quizzes – so that the conversation about culture, language and traditions is lively and understandable to everyone, said Irina Yurkina, director of the branch of the Knowledge Society in Chuvashia.

Nikolai Ivanov, Head of the Department of Project Activities and State Programs of the Ministry of Education of the Republic, gave a lecture “Civilization of Russia” for migrants. He stressed that interethnic harmony requires constant attention and educational work.

Vice-rector of the Chuvash Republican Institute of Education Inessa Yadranskaya told teachers of the Chuvash language and literature about the diversity of languages and traditions. According to her, the support of small languages allows to preserve the cultural heritage of the peoples of the country. In turn, Elena Palladina, senior teacher of kindergarten No. 146 Cheboksary, discussed with her parents the role of language and children’s games in the transmission of traditions.

On the Day of National Unity, the Knowledge Society also organizes an educational campaign. Within its framework, thematic materials on the history of Russia, the events of 1612 and 1812, the Great Patriotic War and the cooperation of peoples in science and culture were prepared. The key event will be the Knowledge.Unity marathon in Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod. "We are Russia" exhibition. The origins and horizons of the unity of peoples will be presented in Nizhny Novgorod and Yekaterinburg.
