Since the beginning of the season in the Pskov region from tick bites suffered 2394 people

Since the beginning of the season, 2,394 people have complained to medical organizations of the Pskov region about tick suction. About this "MK in Pskov" reported in the press service of Rospotrebnadzor in the Pskov region.

Most often, ticks attacked areas at the place of residence in rural settlements, dacha partnerships and in the forest.

Most cases were recorded in Pskov (524), Veliky Luki (412), Pskov municipal district (154), Nevelsky (151) and Opochetsky (150) districts.

In the laboratories of the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology and Medical Institutions of the region, 2,913 ticks were examined: 2,347 removed from people and 566 from the environment.

The incidence of tick-borne viral encephalitis was 0.09%, ixodic tick-borne borreliosis - 28.59%, human monocytic ehrlichiosis - 2%, human granulocytic anaplasmosis - 1.87%.

Two cases of tick-borne viral encephalitis and 24 cases of tick-borne ixodic borreliosis were diagnosed, including six children.
