The Governor of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo said that the region continues the modernization of cultural infrastructure under the national project “Family”. The work includes the repair of buildings, the purchase of equipment and the involvement of specialists.
In 2025, libraries in Brilyovka and Nizhny Serogos were updated, now there are eight model libraries in the region. In 2026, nine counties received more than 80,000 new books. Seven houses of culture were equipped with sound and lighting equipment, art schools received musical instruments and materials for creativity.
Major repairs were carried out in the houses of Chaplinka culture, Circle Lake and Lower Serogos. More than 262 million rubles are provided for the renewal of cultural institutions, including local history museums of Genichesk and Skadovsk, as well as music schools of Kalanchak, Askania-Nova and Novotroitsky.
I want the renovated houses of culture to have full halls again, children to enjoy music, and libraries to become favorite meeting places. For this reason, we repair buildings, purchase equipment and support cultural workers, said Vladimir Saldo.
Separately, the region operates the program “Zemsky cultural worker”: for 2025-2026, 23 specialists received 2 million rubles and began to work in the districts.
