Belarusian sanatoriums plan to increase bed capacity to 30%. This was told to journalists on October 6 by the director of the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium and Resort Treatment of the Population Gennady Bolbatovsky, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.
In accordance with the implementation of the Belarus Hospitable State Program, the development of the sanatorium and resort network has reached a new stage. Until 2030, about 70% of all activities of the program fall on the sanatorium and resort complex.
- We are facing a serious task – to increase the bed capacity of domestic health resorts to 30%, Bolbatovsky said. For this purpose, active work has been launched with investors, construction and deep modernization are underway. The fact that these processes have already gained momentum is eloquently indicated by the figures. Thus, investments in the material and technical base increased by 1.5 times compared to the same period last year.
Bolbatovsky added that despite the fact that only the first year of the program is underway and many facilities are still being designed, there are already tangible results. So, recently in the Minsk region opened a new modern building in the sanatorium "Dawn-Luban".
