Serpukhov was visited by a delegation from Obninsk

The delegation of the first science city of Russia was headed by the head of the city Stefan Perevalov. The guests were received by the head of the city district Serpukhov Alexey Shimko.

Obninsk is known not only for the fundamental science behind its status. This is a city with a complex engineering infrastructure, where a quarter of the working population is employed in high-tech enterprises.

The central topic of the conversation was the maintenance of urban infrastructure and improvement. The conversation turned out to be specific - colleagues arrived with clearly formulated questions. Among them - cleaning of territories in the warm and cold season, arrangement of sites for solid municipal and bulky waste, collection of hazardous waste. They also touched upon how municipal institutions are structured: their structure, staffing, fleet of equipment and work with contractors.

After the meeting, the guests from Obninsk went to the facilities to see with their own eyes how Serpukhov services cope with the improvement and maintenance of territories in practice.

Alexey Shimko stressed that such an exchange is useful for both sides. According to him, Serpukhov also studies the experience of colleagues, looks at how similar tasks are solved in other cities, and adopts what may be useful.
