Serpukhov embroidered with a cross on the overall map of the Moscow region
The embroidered map of the Moscow region will be presented for the first time on October 22 in Podolsk at the conference “The Power of Traditions: The Path to Unity”

Since the end of March, 70 masters from all municipalities have worked on the map. Each received a drawing with the exact boundaries of the district and embroidered with a cross its silhouette with recognizable symbols. Zhukovsky has a Tu-144, Lukhovits has a cucumber, Dubna has the chemical element oak, and Egorievsk has a clock tower nicknamed Big Ben. Somewhere on the fragment worked one person, somewhere – a whole studio.
What symbols got Serpukhov fragment and who of the masters of the district embroidered it, the regional Ministry of Culture has not yet disclosed. It is logical to assume a peacock from the city coat of arms, but the intrigue will remain until the presentation.
