The season of electric scooters in Nizhny Novgorod will be extended until November

Kickshare company Whoosh proposed to extend the rental season of electric scooters in Nizhny Novgorod until mid-November.

Now the end of the season is scheduled for October 15, but the document provides for the possibility of extension by agreement of the parties. The issue is currently being discussed with the City Council.

The company noted that forecasters do not predict a significant cooling in October and early November. Given the stable demand, which does not decrease with the arrival of autumn, as well as the benefits of kickshare for the urban transport system, the service and the city hall are considering extending the season according to weather conditions.

If at night the air temperature drops below 0 ° C and there is ice or ice on the roads, the service can be put on a “pause”. Scooters will remain on the streets, but will not be available for rent before warming - in the interests of comfort and travel safety. As temperatures rise throughout the day, the rental option will be activated again.
