Seasonal Fair in Petrozavodsk: an overview of prices and range
In Petrozavodsk unfolded agricultural fair

In Petrozavodsk, an agricultural fair unfolded. The shopping rows took their usual place on the Fair Square (the intersection of October Avenue and Engineering Street). You can attend the event daily from 9 am to 7 pm until October 13. This year, more than 80 farms and manufacturers presented their products.
Despite weekdays, the square is crowded: popular tents line up queues. Many buyers come here purposefully to "their" sellers, with whom I have known for many years.
What for?
Honey. The choice is huge: from local Karelian to products from Bashkiria, Mari El, Krasnodar Territory. The price range is significant - from 750 rubles per kilogram (Kuban flower) to 3000 rubles for elite varieties. We advise you not to rush to buy and study the offers throughout the area.
Meat products. Vilgov meat is in demand: calf pulp costs 1150 rubles / kg, spatula - 930 rubles, pork ham - from 480 rubles. For connoisseurs of delicacies, marble beef from the Sortaval district (1500-1800 rubles / kg) is presented, when buying large cuts, sellers are ready to yield in price. Meat from the Megrega Plemsovkhoz is also popular, but a queue is usually formed behind it.
Fish. Sortavala farmers brought fresh catch: trout (from 750 rubles / kg), perch (400 rubles), pour (250 rubles), ragweed (240 rubles) and bream (170 rubles). In addition to fresh and slightly salted fish, there are many smoked meats in the assortment, as well as budget barrel herring.
Vegetables and pickles. Cabbage for salting from Tuksa will cost 50 rubles per kilogram, potatoes - 45 rubles. The Krautkaiser variety from Ilyinsky costs 45 rubles / kg, and when buying with nets (about 30 kg), the price drops to 40 rubles. There is also a large selection of sauerkraut, pickled mushrooms, garlic and greens on sale. Domestic white cargoes cost 1600 rubles for a liter jar.
Greens and berries. Bundles of fresh greens from Vilga start from 300 rubles. A wider range (from spinach to rosemary) offer farms from the Leningrad region - from 650 rubles / kg. Prices for mint vary: you can find both 250 and 350 rubles per 100 grams.
Fans of berries are offered sea buckthorn (500 rubles / l), raspberries (600 rubles / l), blueberries (700 rubles / l). Cranberries and lingonberries cost 350 rubles / l (or 1800 rubles for a 5-liter bucket). Also available fresh foxes (500 rubles / kg).
Potatoes. There are four trucks in the parking lot. Olonets potatoes are sold at 39 rubles / kg (network - 1400 rubles. for 35 kg), Belarusian - 50 rubles / kg.
Not just food. At the fair, you can update the wardrobe: fur coats, jackets, boots and fur hats are on sale. Gardeners are offered seedlings, tui, fir and seedlings of strawberries. Southern fruits are also abundant, from pomegranates to mangoes.
Organizational moments. Payment sellers accept in different ways: cash, transfers or through terminals. For the convenience of visitors, a temporary pedestrian crossing was organized on October Avenue, which greatly simplifies the path from the bus stop.
We remind you that the fair is open until October 13 inclusive.
