Acting head of Dagestan Fyodor Shchukin congratulated teachers and veterans of pedagogical work on the professional holiday - Teacher's Day.
In his Telegram channel, Shchukin noted that in the modern world, education workers have a huge responsibility - it largely depends on them how children will grow up, what values will acquire and how they will treat their country.
According to him, today more than 43 thousand qualified teachers work in schools of Dagestan, who confidently declare themselves at all-Russian competitions of professional skills.
The head of the region recalled that a monument to a Russian teacher was erected in Makhachkala - a recognition that education and culture have always united the peoples of the country.
Shchukin wished the teachers health, patience, wonderful students and successful implementation of the plan. "Happy holiday!" he concluded.
