Former sports referee Igor Fedotov shared his opinion about the refereeing in the match of the 9th round of the RPL between Baltika and Zenit (2: 3). He said this in an interview with the correspondent of the sports media “Championship”.
According to Fedotov, the only controversial episode is Santos’ accidental contact with Mendel’s head. Spikes are metal or plastic protrusions on the sole of the boots that are needed to grip the lawn. At that moment, the player of Zenit in the fight for the ball hit the opponent’s head with spikes.
"It's an accident - the Zenit player didn't control his body in the air," the expert said.
Fedotov also drew attention to the behavior of the head coach of Baltika Andrei Talalayev. In his opinion, when Talalayev is on the edge, the Baltika players react to his actions and enter into confrontations. The management of the Baltika company needs to think, Fedotov believes.
Earlier, we wrote that Talalayev explained the 11th place of Baltika in the RPL by the level of training.
